I was just wondering if any one had dog boots for their dogs(where there is snow) and do they work? I was thinking of getting some for my guys and wanted some input.

I just bought a pair of muttluks for Willis... although I got them too big and they don't stay on so I have to exchange them. But, I did take him out for a test run in the snow and he did very well and didn't come limping to me with cold feet and ice between his toes. And, they were easy to put on... I also like that they have a long "sock" on them to pull up over his knees.

My Rocky use to get cold feet on really cold days I tried several different types but what worked the best was taking toddler socks, I used four pair two on each hand and footie. He got so use to it that he was a happy camper when I would come with his socks!
Here is a link to a memorial page I did for him there is a pic there with his socks on.
He was such a pal I still get teary when I go to his page and start looking at pic .

I got Kato a pair of muttluks last year but they now have holes in them. He very rarely pulled them off but it was a pain to go looking for them when he did. His wore out pretty quick but I think it was the terrain he was wearing them on. I actually bought them because we didn't have grass yet. I got tired of trying to clean feet with mud squished in his toes. They are very easy to put on. Kato didn't mind wearing them at all.

Toffee has a pair--like the ones Jen described for Willis. She doesn't like wearing them though, and acts as if I'm torturing her when I put them on

Silly girl!

I was thinking about buying some too for Ginger, we have about 3 months of snow, icy weather - they would help. She hates walking in high snow or ice, the other week, poor thing almost slipped on ice. It warmed up a bit last weekend & everything melted & boy was she happy. How do you know what size to buy?

HAHA, too many funny replies on this topic!
I've been contemplating getting Laila some Muttluks but they are quite expensive so we're holding off til after xmas.
We take her on super long walks in the snow and her feet sometimes get cut on ice and they look so sore afterwards.
Jen...What size Muttluks did you get for Willis that were too big? I have no clue what size to get Laila.

I bought large... I was at the store without Willis, so I couldn't try them on him there. When I got home and put them on, they seemed ok, until I looked at the website and saw how they are supposed to fit. I think a medium will be much better for him.
If you go to the Muttluks website, they tell you how to size them... it involves tracing the paw as they are standing... should be good for a few laughs!
