Today we had some nice weather for tracking. Warm enough to be comfortable yet cool enough for tracking with the tracking pair, Ivy and Piper as we prepare them for tracking certification/titling.

Most everyone knows Ivy from here and other places.

I’m not sure if anyone remembers the little 8-10 week old puppy that we found on the busy road on July 4th of this year, with one eyeball hanging out of her face. After looking for a home for her for a couple of months, our five year old son, Ira, decided that she needed to stay with us since she had basically grown up with the Boxers and was goofy enough to actually be one. Piper is now doing tracking and actually working with Claudia and Ivy in a K-9 Search and Rescue group.

Today, Claudia had me lay several tracks for her and the girls over some interesting areas. Here are the photos from the three tracks (two for Ivy and one for Piper).

It's been one crazy year, with no fewer than three military deployments just since the ABC. Every time Claudia and Ivy have been ready and scheduled for certification, I get sent away and everything goes upside down till I return.

I have one more long trip to make soon and I'm hoping to see that VCD before I leave!!

Great photos again Mike - Ivy is as gorgeous as ever - I particularly like the one of her in the first couple where her bum is up in the air mid boxer bounce/jog - the ones of her playing with Claudia are great ! Some of those mid air shots are hilarious - especially the one where she looks like she's standing straight up but a few feet of the air

Looks like Piper sure has fit in well too, and coming along well with the tracking - good on Ira for making the decision
