and peyton and kannon were too tired to be disobedient!!!!!!!! LOL I am paying good money for them to act up...lol

We talked about a lot of stuff, she says we need to keep the dogs off the furniture now since she still "rules" us. SHe was so confused last night. It really broke my heart, but in order for us to be able to have company over and her and him not be all over them, they have to be off the furniture. I sure do miss my cuddle time....its now on the floor...sigh....

My fiance is worried that we are changing peytons boisterous (to put it nicely) personality, but can you do that? I see it as basic discipline which she was obviously lacking.

One posistive thing- the trainer took a special interest in Kannon and his condition and plans to do a lot of digging for options for toys and treat and care:)

She also mentioned how good peyton and kannons relationsship is (that made me smile) she said they play 50/50 which is great and that peyton is protective of him:)

I hope they behave....x mas dinner is at our house :bigsad:

My Oscar has beautiful manners but is still very playful and fun loving. She will learn the difference. It's just something that takes time and patience. You should see Oscar bean when I come in the house [especially on the laminate floors] new_rofl.gif

I don't think it's possible to change a boxer's natural fun loving playfulness, but it is essential to have good manners as out of control boxers in the house with visitors would be just too much.
Times and a places for everything! , cuddles- on the floor wub.gif , quiet and well mannered - in the house and in company of others , burning, boxing and rough housing - OUTSIDE ROTFLMAO.gif beaning allowed at any welcome ceremony (in fact it's compulsory) with paws on the floor not on the people preferably bannana.gif

You're just teaching Peyton what to do instead of what not to do. Now, she may pout about it, but I don't think her personality will change! angel.gif

You know what I did when I just had 8 people over for dinner, is I put Boomer on his leash. That way I could control him when people arrived, and he wasn't able to bolt out the door or jump all over them. Once his initial exitement was over, then I let him off his leash and he happily waited by my side for any bit of cracker that might fall. He tried occasionally to snuggle onto a guest's lap...but all in all...it went much smoother than I had expected.

Good luck with your dinner plans! bigblink.gif

I have done the exact same thing and had good success. Great minds must think alike ROTFLMAO.gif
