I was thinking of sending my lot to the groomers, but I dont know how to go about finding a good one near me
Burning River Boxers
Nah, boxers are easy groomers - I just groom them myself! wink.gif

I saw this site, and was thinking of having a day off and sending them to be bathed, as its a bit mucky here on the walks, and we are fitting a bathroom at the mo, so I dont have any way of bathing them

Kato's Mom
I bath all of mine myself. Boxers especially are easy to care for. I don't bath Kato very often at all. Weekly wet rag wipe downs in between do the trick. We do have a groomer at work two days a week. I think she charges about 18-25 dollars to bath a boxer which includes an ear cleaning and nail trim.

If your just looking for a way to bath them, alot of your chain pet stores (Petsmart Feeders Supply) in my area have wash stations. I have never used them and don't know about the cost, but it may be worth a looksie.

One of my good friends is a groomer and babysits my boxer every day at her salon. I use her tub to bathe Jasmine because it's too difficult at home as I don't have a shower-head that comes off of the wall. If I didn't have my friend as a resource I'd probably go to one of the U-baths though because it is sooo much easier on your back to bathe a dog while you're standing rather than doing it all hunched over! I don't think it would be worth the money to send your dogs to a groomer if you have a U-bath facility nearby. The U-bath places I've checked out have all the professional shampoos and brushes and things that you can use. Have fun in the tub!!

 I knew the day would come....and I would have to confess. I take Oscar for a bath every week. My groomer only charges me $10.00 because he is so good and they love him...this includes having his nails done.

Thanks all i usually bath all five my self in the bath as we have a shower in there too, but at the mo we are fitting the bath and waiting for a new shower to arive, so i guess all i need is them to be bathed, kentucky_kween I live in England and sadly we have nothing like that here lol

We did once or twice a year, for a bath, etc. My hubby cuts Ginger's nails every month & a few months ago we bathed her outside & she loved it. So we will give her a bath again. It only cost maybe $22 when we took her to a groomer.

Jack and Jaimee go to the Happy Hound the first weekend of every month and they just love it...it is like a day at the spa for them. It used to take both me and my husband on a really good day to hold Jack down long enough to cut his nails and then we both felt like we had just wrestled Hulk Hogan by the time we got done!!! But now that it is just me, it is impossible to cut his nails....so once a month they go for a bath and nail trim. It is great, they also paint Jaimee's nails and give them each a fresh new bandana. They also clean their ears and brush their teeth and send their toothbrush home with them so I can brush them between visits. They also pose them is silly hats and take their pics and it is just a fun morning for them. If I ask them if they want to go the the Happy Hound, they go bananas.. bannana.gif All this for just $16 a piece. We love the Happy Hound!! clappy.gif

Oh yea, they also alert me to any little scratch or bump they find and I like that!! clappy.gif

This sounds awsome. I wonder if they take humans at the Happy Hound? It sure would be worth 16 bucks to be pampered like that.
