A brand new foster mom is concerned that her foster boy may not be a purebred boxer. She thinks he may be part hound because his snout is too long, his ears are too long to stand up, and he howls. When asked about the howling, she said it is a funny woo-wooing noise. Hmmm...Not a boxer, eh? ROTFLMAO.gif

I've only seen pics, but this boy is surely purebred (though certainly not well bred). His snout is a bit long, but he has lovely natural ears that lay quite nicely. While this person has had two boxers, she apparently was never treated to the spectacle of a wooing boxer pup. A hound mix... ROTFLMAO.gif

Does she realise they don't 'come out' with docked ears???

uumm...she wasn't blonde was she?

How funny...my Comet is a wooer to end all wooers and she is all boxer!
I have seen boxers with longer snouts and can understand that part of it, they can look a little "strange"...but is it really the looks of a dog that you fall in love with?
I know when we went to get Comet, there were a lot of boxer pups to choose from, one of them had such beautiful markings, but was not available yet for sale...I was willing to wait for her, but then Comet just wandered over to us and her personality just caught us and we knew that she was the one for us. 2 + years later I couldn't imagine having a better boxer baby! And to me she is the most beautiful boxer I've ever seen, and then there is my sweetface Benny....skinny as all get out, growths on his belly, he's still handsome as heck to me!

Wooo woooo from me and Comet and Benny!

Apparently she thought they stood up naturally like a GSD. :dunno: We've all had a really good laugh over this one. (Not to her, of course. We're very professional! yes.gif )

None of my girls woo woo. Pixie and Mia will grumble - kind of a low, growly rar, rar rar, but never an all on out woo woo. I'm jealous of those who's pups do!

Quinsi is my woo'er. He's a HUGE talker! Since practically day 1...

One of the first images taken of him while woo'ing...

One of these days I'll get him on video doing it..

I love the WOO! whistling.gif Koda is a wooing machine, but Lucy doesn't. She usually doesn't make much noise at all, unless she's trying to get a dog to play with her, then she barks her fool head off. Our foster dog, Asia, doesn't woo - she makes a very funny un-doggy grunting noise when she plays, even when she's playing by herself. She sounds just like a little pig! Foster #2, Sammie, is about 6 months old and I think she'll be a wooer. I heard the beginnings of a woo from her last night. I love the picture of Quinsi wooing! Jessica - maybe you need to teach your girlies to woo! I used to woo at Koda all the time to get him to do it, now he doesn't need any help!
